Molino del Rey

Our Retreat is nestled in a little hamlet with extensive views towards the Sierra de las Nieves. The Retreat is located in a gorgeous green valley and flanked by orange groves.  In fact the top yoga experts regularly rate Molino del Rey as One of the Best Yoga Retreats in the World.

Anthony & Lidiya, the owners, followed a vision to convert a ruined water mill into a retreat centre in addition to creating a lovely home. With such features as a refreshing, salt treated, mountain water pool, sculpted under the caves with a hidden shower under the banana trees! As a result of being an old water mill, Molino has beautiful moorish water streams flowing down through the centre, creating a refreshing, magical charm to the place.

You can enjoy massage treatments by fully qualified therapists. Popular hiking and hill walking routes in the nearby Ronda mountains are easily accessible. A spring of the river “Rio Grande” is born at the entrance of the hamlet. From it, the purest of waters flow through the yoga centre, offering bathing facilities and surrounded by the fragrance of mountain flowers.

Your yoga practice is taken in the Yoga studio with floor to ceiling windows with views across the valley and a door leading into the inner stillness of the caves. The latter serves as natural air conditioning in hot summer months and the studio is fully equipped with all yoga equipment (you are also welcome to bring your own Yoga mat!). You can enjoy and optional evening meditation in the stillness of the caves.
