Yoga retreats provide numerous benefits on all levels – physical, emotional and spiritual. A break from your normal routine, the chance to delve deeper into your yoga practices, make new friends with other yoga lovers, eat healthily, getting out amongst nature, reducing your dependence on technology, and soaking up some healing sun rays, are just a few. Giving yourself this gift to restore and reset, will help create more self-awareness, opening up a new perspective on life.

How you approach the week is totally up to you …. come and indulge in quietness, journalling and reflection, or opt for more activity and explore beautiful Apulia region – in Southern Italy bordering the Adriatic Sea to the east, the Ionian Sea to the southeast!

La Rosa Dei 4 Venti

La Rosa dei 4 Venti is located in Puglia, at the heel of southern Italy. The Masseria, a typical farmstead in this area, is located on a hill with wonderful views of the Itria Valley and is 30 minutes from the sea.

The 15-hectare property is characterized mainly by its century-old oak and olive trees, whose unique beauty, combined with the sun of southern Italy and the pure air for a high feel-good factor.

The house is dedicated exclusively to yoga and meditation and has a holistic vision of life, respect for the environment and tradition.

Apulia is a southern Italian region that makes up the heel of the Italian “boot” and is known for its whitewashed hillside towns, centuries-old farmland and hundreds of miles of Mediterranean coastline. Characteristic of Alberobello and the Valle d’Itria are the “Trulli” – stone huts with conical conical roofs.

Martina Franca and Ostuni are picturesque medieval hill towns. The Salento peninsula is known for its wide, quiet beaches. The landscape of Apulia is largely characterized by extensive groves with gnarled olive trees. The region is one of the most important producers of olive oil and is also a wine-growing region.

Yoga Classes

Our Ashtanga Retreat theme will be “Ashtanga, Ashtanga, Ashtanga!”.
Clive & Mark, who run our Mysore Ashtanga program here in the studio, will be offering inspiring daily Ashtanga yoga practices in led and Traditional Mysore classes, as well as exploring daily Pranayama and Meditation.

There will be the opportunity for a total of 4 hours yoga each day (with options offered for every level of yogi, and classes are all optional), providing you with the chance to expand and explore your practice exponentially, along with heaps of opportunity to quiz Clive & Mark in between classes too!

The Rosa offers several spaces for us to take our practise outdoors as well as a beautiful, fully equipped indoor yoga room with all the mats and yoga props you could possibly need.

Accommodation

Each room in the Rosa is unique, full of character and comes with an en suite with shower, toilet and basin. Rooms are furnished to reflect the building and the area, creating a relaxed, calming and laid-back atmosphere.

Some of the rooms are in the masseria and close by there are another five rooms in the trulli houses. These small, white conical buildings are one of the most magical aspects of the Puglian landscape.

All rooms are double or triple sharing – see below for details.

Food and Beverages

The diet for the community of people of La Rosa de i4 Venti is extremely important as much as the yoga practice. Our cuisine follows the ph alkaline diet philosophy whose goal is to bring back to balance our organism through a healthy vegetarian diet mainly raw, organic, with low gluten, no dairies and wheat-free.

We serve our fresh, organic and seasonal products from our garden; we produce our own goat cheese and milk and we make our bread, pastries and pastas with spelt flour or no gluten flour like buckwheat. Our dishes are from the Italian tradition but revisited by us following this diet by introducing some raw dishes at lunch and super-foods in our recipes. You won’t miss the Italian cuisine, simply you will taste it in a healthier way!

The Retreat includes:

  • 3 tasty vegetarian meals per day.
  • unlimited water, herbal teas
  • afternoon homemade cake
