Course Content

Successful graduates from this training will be able to register not only with Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP) but also with Anusara® School of Hatha Yoga (ASHY).

The Anusara® trainings are well known as one of the most comprehensive and challenging trainings available. By completion students will have a thorough knowledge of yoga history and the meaning behind the practice, as well as being able to sequence and teach not only a well aligned and safe yoga class, but one which empowers and uplifts the class through ‘theme weaving’. Taking this training is guaranteed to challenge you, yet uplift you – it won’t be easy, but it will be wonderful!

Certified Anusara and Senior Yoga Teacher, Sarah Powell will lead you through this inspiring training, along with some subject matter specialists.

The course focuses on providing a safe space and a nurturing atmosphere for an in depth study of the practice of yoga. This enables the student to deepen their personal practice and find their unique voice as a skilled yoga teacher.

During our teacher training program we will explore the essence of each pose, with the goal of enabling our students to have all the tools possible to teach inspirational yoga classes.

We are also looking for students with a genuine desire for yoga, willing to immerse themselves into the intensive modules.  The course will be challenging, but incredibly rewarding too, both in terms of your development as a Yogi and your new found skills as a teacher.

On completion, the student will be able to teach a strong yoga class grounded in a competent knowledge of human anatomy, the psychology of practice, the teaching & learning cycle, and yogic tradition.

  2. Complete all non-contact hours and homework.
  3. Be present at all course session modules and be punctual.
  4. The RHY Anusara® Teacher Training is a combination of continuous assessment, practical and written examinations. After each module, reading and small amounts of written work are set.
