Treatment of the Month: Arvigo Therapy®

Red Hot Yoga teacher and therapist Tracey Reilly explains the benefits of Arvigo®, an ancient, holistic Maya method of abdominal therapy.

1. What is Arvigo®?

Arvigo® is an ancient Maya therapeutic technique of non invasive abdominal massage which stimulates circulation in the abdomen, supporting the body for optimum function of the digestive and reproductive systems.

2. How long is a session?

The first session is 90 mins with follow up treatments of 60 minutes.

3. What happens in a typical session?

First a case history is taken and your current health issues are discussed.  This is followed by abdominal massage, pelvic mobilisation and a deep tissue massage of the back and shoulders.  Following the massage we will go through some self care massage techniques that you can do yourself at home.

4. What are the benefits of Arvigo®?

Arvigo® therapy incorporates a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, treating the whole person on a physical, emotional & energetic level so that true healing can take place.  The treatment helps restore the body to its natural balance by correcting the position of organs that have shifted and are restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi energy.  Arvigo® therapy can help digestive issues, support fertility and a range of female health concerns such as period pain and menopausal/peri-menopausal complaints.

5. How long have you been doing this treatment?

I have been a therapist for more than 20 years and have been offering Arvigo® therapy for 3 years.

6. Why did you choose to train in this treatment?

I had been doing various therapies for the past 20 years and had first hand experience of Arvigo® therapy after some personal health issues.  I was so impressed by the benefits that I felt I had to train so I could pass these on to others!

7. How many sessions are recommended for me to feel the benefits?

The number of treatments will vary depending on your condition. Sometimes one treatment combined with a daily self care massage routine will be enough.  Generally I like to see clients once a month for 3 months but I very much treat every client as an individual so we will create a treatment plan specific to your needs.

8. Can I still have this treatment if I’m pregnant or have any other medical conditions?

Please contact me via Reception at RHY if you are pregnant or to discuss any other medical conditions so that I can advise you on whether this treatment is suitable.

Book your Arvigo Therapy at Reception or via our online booking system here and experience the benefits for yourself!
