Wise words …

by Michelle Berrange

Asana and meditation both work on eradicating physical and mental boundaries and impurities and things that limit one from living a blissful, happy life. Through the discipline of yoga practice we start to identify and consciously remove these obstacles. The process of dropping and letting go is the same, but we first have to see it and accept it before we can dissolve it. As Papaji wisely said – “You have to decide right now to be free once and for all. Everyone who has found freedom in this lifetime has had to make this decision. ”

” The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind & the harmony of the soul  create the symphony of life. ” BKS Iyengar

” Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind & spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities & mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.” BKS Iyengar

” Compassion and Tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. ” Dalai Lama

” Happiness is your nature. It is not wrong to desire it. What is wrong is seeking it outside when it is inside.” Ramana Maharshi

” When you stop taking outside activity for real and know yourself as it always is, you will be eternally happy. Self is prior to all activity, all thought. Without self nothing could appear.” Papaji

” The art of teaching is tolerance. Humbleness is the art of learning.” BKS Iyengar

” Mind turned inward will see its source and then never return because you stay with what you love most.” Papaji
