Why Cacao?

Here’s a question: why eat cacao? Well historically, the Mayans, Aztecs and Spanish conquistadors have always considered cacao as a very powerful aphrodisiac, exotic food and medicine. Cacao literally means ‘to drink together” suggestive by its very nature that it works well to be taken as a group! It is through cacao that we are able to reconnect with the plants and remember that we are part of nature. This has the power to shift our consciousness and can be a wonderful experience of reconnecting with fellows, our environment and our true inner selves.

There are other more physical and psychological reasons that may be of interest to you. Perhaps an increased quality of wellbeing might entice you? – a total no brainer really!!!

There is evidence from clinical tests that show cacao helps to raise serotonin levels to relieve emotional stress. It can increase blood flow to the brain, may delay dementia, and slows down tooth decay by removing heavy toxins from the body.

How about that it contains POTASSIUM, PHOSPHORUS, COPPER, IRON, ZINC and MAGNESIUM that can contribute to cardiovascular health? Also containing FLAVONOIDS with CHROMIUM, which helps balance blood sugar levels and the body’s cells resist damage by free radicals in a toxic environment. Flavanoids also have a positive effect on vascular health, lowering blood pressure, improving blood flow to the brain and heart helping the clotting process of blood.
